superfluous!

Yahoo! scammed me!!

This is utterly unacceptable! Yahoo! has scammed me by over-charging me US$25.00 on top of the regular US$9.99/year fee for my domain name. That means I was charged a total of US$ 34.95 for the renewal of my domain name!!

It seems that somewhere around June or July they decide to raise the price and there were supposingly notifications about the increase in 60 days, 30 days and 15 days which I did not receive at all in my Yahoo! Mail. This is fraud!

1st Year: US$ 1.99 (promotion price for registration)
2nd Year: US$ 9.99 (regular price)
3rd Year: US$ 34.95 (fraud!!)

I e-mailed their billing support with regards to this issue and to date, I have not received any replies. What kind of customer care support services is this? This has got to be the worst kind of customer service that I have received. Not only I was scammed, I totally lost control of my domain services since Yahoo! decide to deny my access to the Domain Controls since i cancelled the plan.

I have already spoke to my credit card company and I shall be filing a dispute over the unauthorized charge to my credit card. I have also seek help from a former college mate to attempt a registrar transfer of the domain name so that I will seize back control of my domain name so that if I don’t get refunded, at least I can still manage the domain name.

In the meantime, I will be starting my blog afresh at http://jackieleong.blogspot.com until further notice. My hosting services will be expiring and I will not be renewing it since i no longer find it necessary for a dedicated web hosting for the purpose of blogging.

Wish me luck in getting back what I deserve. To hell with Yahoo! god damn scheming company. I hope you go bankrupt! <_<

twenty-three.

Fuh, this is like another record for not blogging for such a long time. but yeah i have been busy and still am busy.. just that i think it is about time i give this blog a refreshing look and a new update to my current situation.

Approximately 12 days ago, on the 17th of July, I turn to the age of twenty three. omgz i am feel so old. T_T
Either way, here is how celebrations took place. Once the clock struck midnight on 16th July, I blew the candles of my first cake that was bought by my parents. The cake was delicious orange!

Fast-forward the clock to 11am, me and my bb find ourselves at Neway 1Utama for several hours of karaoke session. Yes, yes.. what is jackie doing at a karaoke joint O_o ? Those of you who ain’t aware of this, I have been going to karaoke venues to sing for the fun of it :) It’s quite relaxing and enjoyable, try it! When it was time to leave the place, we just walk around 1Utama for a while then left straight for Pavillion. We again, walk around Pavillion as it was kinda early for dinner.

Come dinner-time, you’ll be choked to know where we went! :D My BB knows that I love to feast on japanese food and so she treat me to a sumptuous dinner at Jogoya Starhill ;) I must say I am rather impressed with the variety of food they have in-store despite the huge bill. Eat until super-duper-full lo.. kakaka.. Thanks BB ;)

After dinner, we camwhore a bit before heading up to Genting Highlands with my college-mates as a finale for the 17th July 2008 celebrations. Head on to Starbucks for some good coffee and my cupcakes, custom made upon order which was bought by my BB. Cute sia, got small small car looks on the cupcakes. Feel myself back to being a kiddie with these small cupcakes :) They taste good and easy to eat too. My friends took in 4-5 cupcakes each. Nice!

Luck wasn’t on my side when I went into the casino, but let’s not go there :p

The end…

RM2.70 per litre??!!

OMFG. The day has come! The government has announced the increase of price for the following gas:

RON 97 Petrol : RM2.70, up from RM1.92
RON 92 Petrol: RM2.62, up RM1.88
Diesel: RM2.58, up from RM1.58

The price increase will take effect on June 5th 2008, once the clock ticks past midnight on June 4th 2008.

That is one HELLUVA increase. I went to fill up my sister’s car as it was already half a tank.. quite regretted as the petrol stations were beyond full, the queue was several roads in length and it cost me an hour plus waiting and trying to maneuvre around. People can be seen swearing and cursing over the issue, and the ridiculous congestion.  There would also be an increase in cost of electricity. Everything is increasing and life is getting tougher. It is like a pair of hands choking you from surviving in this country of increasing inflation. Although there would be a rebate of RM625 annually for vehicles below 2000cc, RM150 for motorcycles below 250cc as well as discount for RM200 on roadtax for vehicles above 2000cc and RM50 for motorcycles above 250cc.  That isn’t much compared to the impact of petrol price increase as a lot of people depended on it.

I guess for people like me, we’ll have to have a lighter right foot and to car-pool more often. Sigh.

Dilly-dally

It has been almost 2 months since I posted, boy talk about how time flies.. I really have been busy with my studies, assignments and final year project.. Not that optimistic with them anyway, that’s the sad truth unfortunately.. I always wanted to post something up with regards to what is taking place in my life but I just don’t get the oomph to do so =/ might have something to do with me being not so into this blogger thing..

Either way i’m now having a 3-weeks holiday with one week already gone.. I can’t really be at ease as I sort of screw up my final year project on the initial stages and have to pretty much re-work on that including more emphasis to my research work as it was just not good enough plus i had problems really justifying my choice of methodology, language, the lot.. I’d definitely be spending my time working on it as it is quite an important part of my final year.

I went to Penang right after my exams and it was a rather enjoyable trip although the “custom bed” that I slept on was kinda bad for my back. Had backache the following day cuz of poor posture during sleep. Food was excellent as my childhood friend’s parents treated me and my family to good food, great hospitality from them really. We had good seafood mostly, and ahh.. I had the opportunity to meet and take a picture the new Penang Chief Minister, YB Lim Guan Eng.. I am pretty sure the new political divide will steer the country to greater heights :)

On 1st May, I went to the Janice Concert at Stadium Merdeka with my other half, Ghee and KC. It is Janice’s first concert and I have to say that the concert is rather dull and boring, does not have the concert atmosphere. She will have to work on stirring up her fans to the mood of the concert. Invited guest artists performed even better than her, imagine that. Her costumes were rather cute though but I guess there is a lot of room for improvement.

Today I went to the TT session with my FTO boys. Good turn out with approximately 11 cars parked one next to another at this Restoran SA at Bandar Baru Ampang. It kinda caught the attention of the locals there. Manage to know some new members as well ;)

I think I will stop here for the time being ;)

Malaysia 12th General Election - 8-03-2008

8th March 2008, this very day on the calendar marks a very important day for all Malaysians as all regardless of age, race and religion come out to vote for their representatives. This is Malaysia’s 12th General Elections and just like the rest, I exercise my rights as a Citizen of Malaysia to vote. This is the very first time I voted since I turn 21 years old just 2 years back. The Election Commission’s legal requirement is that you have to be a Citizen of Malaysia and above the age of 21 to be registered to vote. It was indeed an eye-opening experience.

The results of the elections this time around has many surprises and shocks as the official results were released by SPR starting 9pm that night. As of 1.30am - 9th March 2008, the Chairman of SPR officially announced that Barisan National (Alliance Front) has a simple majority to form the next Federal Government. Although BN is victorious in forming the next Federal Government and managed to hold on to several states, they suffered a shocking defeat as the opposition parties claims hold of the following five states, namely Penang, Perak, Selangor, Kelantan, and Kedah. More news could be obtained online from MalaysiaKini.com, Bernama.com and TheStar.com.my

It is hope that the elected representatives will perform their duties and keep their promises. All party supporters should remain calm and accept the results of the General Elections. Please avoid from any victorious celebrations that may cause untoward incidents and maintain peace.

Flashback: Jan 30, 2008

I would like to take you a few weeks back into my life because on the very day I posted the juicy news about Edison Chen’s sex scandal, a fire broke out at my home. Let me re-tell the story. I was cleaning up, preparing to head to college when my backup battery’s siren sounded as a note that there’s no power supply. The sky was clear, no lightning at all. I went over to my mum’s room to ask what happened, why the power tripped. My mum thought it was a power outage by TNB.

So as I left my mum’s room to go downstairs to turn the power back on, I heard crackle-pop sounds from downstairs and the thought of my mum leaving something in the kitchen cooking without observation startled me. I dashed downstairs and can only stare in shock at the black smoke clouding the kitchen and saw the electrical water dispenser caught fire (Hot, Warm, Cold water dispenser). I quickly turn on the taps of the basin next to the water dispenser and grab anything I can to scoop water and splash it on the water dispenser to put out the fire whilst shouting for my mum to come help. I told my mum to open up all the windows for the black smoke to escape. I managed to put out the fire somehow, and after that we carried the dispenser out of the kitchen to an open area. It seems that the age of the water dispenser may have caused the wires to deteorate and short-circuited itself causing a fire. The fire is from within the machine. As such machine is turn on 24/7, I can’t imagine what would happen if i am not at home. I could have been homeless.

Luckily I was at home, haven’t left for college. Lucky number two is that the machine was shifted to a different place last year, else it could have been worst because the previous location was atop a wooden cabinet with another wooden cabinet at the top. Both are made of wood, a material which can easily catch fire. The outcome of the fire was quite damaging. The plaster ceiling for both the dry and wet kitchen had to be repainted as it was all black from the smoke. Even the walls had to be cleaned. Not to mention the cabinet and whatever items stored in the cabinets. I spent a few days just to extract all the items to be cleaned and arranged back into the cabinet which explains why I haven’t been blogging much as my back hurts from all the work.

Oh well, at least everything is fine now. Two pictures that explains more than words could ever describe ;)

Juicy News..

This is basically gossip news, rather juicy one as well that I have just heard of. It seems that a couple of celebrities have pictures of them in various sexual positions being widely spread on the Internet. The celebrities are Edison Chen, Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan and Cecillia Cheung. I’m pretty sure you would have known earlier that Gillian, Bobo and Cecillia are Edison Chen’s ex-girlfriends, except that Cecillia is now the wife of Nicholas Tse. I wonder what would Nicholas do with such news going around about his wife’s sexual antics with her ex-boyfriend. There was speculations that Nicholas sent his computer in for repairs with it’s hard disk containing those medias, so i guess that was where the pictures/videos started spreading around. Another speculation was that Nicholas’s computer was hacked and the hacker has access to the materials.

I wouldn’t deny that I have seen some of the pictures, and two of them are with Cecillia cosplaying a policewomen. There are a series of pictures of Edison performing oral sex on Gillian whereas another picture of Bobo Chan performing oral sex on Edison. There are also words that a 13second video was spread around, but I’ve not seen it yet so I can’t say about its contents. As per media reports that the celebrities and EEG claiming the pictures were fakes, I can tell that they are pretty genuine. It’s just normal for them to deny such allegations but experts can tell whether the were fake or genuine. Google for the news, and you will very likely to stumble upon those pictures, even the uncensored ones.

That’s all for now ;)

Over my shoulder, a look back into 2007..

In the shadows there lies Year 2007, and 2007 has brought along significant changes to me, my life.. Let’s slowly walk through it kay?

The first two quarters of Year 2007 was really the most happening time of my life, frequenting clubs in KL and PJ to hangout and socialize.. I had stomached so much liquor that it somehow messed with my body rhythm a bit, thus i put a halt to such hangouts as it is rather bad for my health.. I was also blessed with a new ride as my younger sister required transport to get around college which means cars at home were re-shuffled to suit our needs, I am thankful to my dad for the new ride as some people could only dream of having :) I gain knowledge of how the automotive industry works and the procedures involved as I had to do some running around..

The third quarter of 2007 pretty much signifies the mark of a new relationship for me as I met someone and fell in love with her. I have a lot of respect for her because of what she has been through and the very person she is. Although our relationship has been rather rocky due to various reasons, I still believe in giving each other a chance to improve ourselves and giving our relationship time to sustain before giving up. I love her and she means a lot to me. It is indescribable in words, but they are definitely good stuff ;) Our relationship did show signs of improvement and I hope that it continues to improve. After all, the Pyramids were not built in a day, and I believe that love, relationship.. something so abstract would probably take a lifetime to build and sustain. Before getting emotional, a note that we went on our first trip up North to Penang. We took the opportunity to camwhore at the Batu Ferringhi beach and check out some well known places like Kek Lok Si Temple to offer our prayers and having the famous Penang Asam Laksa.

Fourth quarter of 2007 was wonderful as I went with my bb for our 2nd trip, this time down South and better as it is overseas to our neighbour Singapore. It was 20-22nd Dec as my bb’s birthday falls on 21st ;) It was my first time driving down to Singapore and it was really a good experience! 22-23rd Dec was spent at Port Dickson to relax after the hectic walking and touring at Singapore. It was a fabulous trip :) Christmas was romantically celebrated with my bb :D

Studies wise, my results for 2nd year was below expectation but I guess it is acceptable, looking at how tough the syllabus are becoming as I advance towards the end of the course.
